Strawberry lemonade makes me think of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. I am always searching for cool liquids to re-hydrate and lower my body temperature as the heat rises at the festival grounds. This lemonade has a little twist. Basil and fresh strawberries are combined and pureed and added to fresh squeezed lemon juice and simple syrup. Maybe you could also add a little of your favorite vodka or a splash of Prosecco to sparkle it up for a special occasion.
