Do you love little bite-sized mini cakes as much as I do? These flourless chocolate mini cakes check off a few of my requirements for the perfect little dessert. Moist, chocolatey, gluten-free, and good any time of the day.
Ottolenghi perfects this flourless cake and other tasty mini cakes in his cookbook, “Sweets.”
I think of these as tea cakes and like to serve them after lunch or as you may expect, with coffee or tea in the afternoon. In the original recipe, Ottolenghi suggests a drizzle of chocolate ganache or any kind of your favorite chocolate icing. A sprinkle of powdered sugar will also suffice and dress up the cakes for your afternoon tea.
