Southern Spiked Apple Cider
-
- Prep Time
- Minutes
Ingredients
- 4 ounces, rye whiskey
- 1 ounce, bourbon
- 2 ounces vanilla brandy
- 1 cup of mulled apple cider
- juice of 1/2-1 lemon
- 4 apple slices
- 4 lemon slices
Instructions
- Pour the mulled apple cider into a medium sized pitcher. If you cannot find mulled cider, it is easy enough to make your own mulling spice mixture with a hint of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves and add it to the cider.
- Add rye whiskey and bourbon, the vanilla brandy, and juice of 1/2-1 lemon to the cider. Stir to make sure all ingredients are well combined.
- At this point, if you want a warm toddy, you can pour the cider into a small saucepan and gently warm it. Serve in small mugs garnished with a cinnamon stick. Or, I like it over ice garnished with a slice of apple and lemon. Cheers!
